Scarce first edition, 3000 copies printed. Galerie Veith Turske, Koln, 1977. Magazine format, paper wraps, 144 pp. Top of spine has been bent, and is slightly scuffed at title at spine. Bottom of spine shows some wear as well. Corners ever so slightly bumped. Binding is tight and interior is completely clean.
A scarce copy (one of only 3000 printed, with only a few available online) of an exhibition catalogue turned art book including poetry, drawings, sketches by Patti Smith. The exhibition, hosted at Galerie Veith Turske in Cologne, showcased multi-media pieces of her original work. In the opening event, Patti Smith performed a live reading of Rimbaud's poems. The dedication to Robert Mapplethorpe, printed in her handwriting, signs this off as a deeply personal project for Smith.
